As a child, I lived in the UK - and I remember a comic strip series that was in the weekly "Whizzer and Chips". It was called The Slimms - and it told the ongoing story of a husband and wife who ate themselves to bigger and bigger proportions - and a slim son who does his best to keep them from overeating.
I was obsessed with this strip - watching the woman eating with wild abandon and enjoying her round growth.... completed with a tape measure....
Does anyone else remember this series? It seems there was another one too - that had an entire family that liked to eat - a lot - and were extremely fat. The brits had some wacky comics - and these ones stick out in my mind.
