Scientific Research.....Would you do it????

I was listening to some genetic scientists talk about some research they are working on.One of the things was in the future of selective embryo to help people from having a child with birth defects.One thing they mentioned was finding the genetic DNA marker link that causes morbid obesity and identifing it.Now my question is if this was possible would anyone who has already been marked by the medical society as being overweight ,obese or morbid obesity use selective embryo testing to avoid having an obese child?
