A Florida teen borrowed his dad's brand new BMW M5 and proceeded to take a joy ride with four friends on a runway. He had recently been posting and bragging to a BMW forum about his "new" BMW and how he wanted to take it for a test run. That was his last post.

CNN has a story along with photos of the event. The whole thing is beyond belief. It doesn't even resemble a car. Some of the details:
Florida Highway officers said a gray 2008 BMW was traveling on an airstrip after 3:30 a.m. Saturday near Jumbolair Aviation Estates when it sailed off an 80- to 85-foot elevated embankment at the runway. The vehicle was speeding in excess of 100 mph when it left the ground and traveled 200 feet into a large tree, Local 6 has learned. The vehicle hit the tree about 15 feet above the ground.Three of the passengers were ejected from the vehicle upon impact.
So they were heading down an elevated runway at over 100mph. What did they think would happen, they hit 88 mph and travel back in time? From the forum he posted on, it seemed he had very little idea how to drive such a powerful vehicle, and some members called him on whether or not driving it was a smart move.

Based on some of the back story, all the boys had a list of traffic violations, the driver took dad's BMW out for a joy ride (alcohol involvement unknown) and made the ultimate mistake. It's hard to know how to feel in a situation like that.
