It's been stated by a bunch of people on here that our physical preferences are hardwired. Fat, skinny, or somewhere in-between, we find a particular body type, or limited range of body types, physically attractive and others not so much.
When one gets into a relationship at first, the physical appearance of the other person is a huge part of the attraction. And generally their body doesn't change too much. But what if it does?
For FAs, the partner loses a bunch of weight for whatever reason. Maybe it's illness, maybe it's intentional. Or for those of us who like slimmer bodies, the partner gains a bunch for whatever reason. So what does that mean for the relationship?
If the body changes, it doesn't mean that you stop loving the person, but you're not going to find them physically attractive anymore. So is one a complete asshole for being honest about this? Or are we supposed to just suck it up and be a good supportive partner whether or not we're still physically attracted? Is a romantic relationship still a romantic relationship if the sexual attraction is gone?
